Fair questions

So how is it free?

Who pays for it?
Nobody has to. Unsold PDF runs on your computer, so there are no servers to keep paying for, and no investors waiting to be paid back.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens on your computer, and it works with the internet switched off.
What's the catch?
There isn't one. The code is open, so you don't have to take our word for it.
What can't it do?
It doesn't sync between devices or send documents out for other people to sign. Those need a server. If we ever add them, they'll be optional, charged at cost and end-to-end encrypted, and there'll always be a free way to use your own cloud.
Who makes it?
Unsold, an independent project making free apps that aren't for sale. Unsold PDF is the first. Unsold Gym, a workout log that doesn't want your email, is next.
